Abortion (an unjustifiable Act)

Abortion (an unjustifiable Act)
Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo from the womb before it can survive on its own, or we will say it is the termination of a child in a mother’s womb before birth.
Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not talking about spontaneous abortion, also known as miscarriage, which is the unintentional expulsion of an embryo or fetus before the 24th week of gestation, or therapeutic abortion- less than one-tenth of one percent of the abortions done in the world today- which is performed to preserve the health or life of the mother. More women have an abortion for suitability than women who have an abortion to save their own lives

Medical or chemical abortion on the other hand is purposely induced by abortifacent pharmaceuticals-this is what I’m talking about.

A question, which will always be argued upon, is whether abortion is justified or not. Others will debate that when the foetus is inside the womb, it is not a person yet, but I say that life starts from the day of conception. Let’s narrow this down a bit.

Firstly, abortion is never justified, as it is the killing of a human child in God’s eyes. Although the Bible never specifically addresses the issue of abortion, however, there are several teachings in Scripture that makes it abundantly clear what God’s view of abortion is. In Jeremiah 1:15, the Bible tells us that God knew us before He form us in the womb. In Exodus 21:22, the Bible grants the unborn child equal protection in the law; if he lost his life, the one who caused his death must lose his own life, and Psalm 127:3 which says ‘Children are gift from God’. There are several scriptures that illustrate God’s view on abortion, including Deuteronomy 30:19, Amos 1:13, Jeremiah 20:17, Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 27:25, Jeremiah 7:6…etc.

We are sacred, and from the scriptures mentioned above, and more, it clearly indicates that God consider the baby in the womb to be as human as a full grown-adult. Abortion is and should not be the matter of a woman’s right to choose whether to have the child or not, it is a matter of life and death of a human being made in God’s image.

Secondly, abortion is wrong as it is not just against the Bible; it is also against the Qur’an. Islam values human life. This is clearly expressed in the Qur'an where it is mentioned that in the sight of God, killing a human is a very serious matter (see Qur'an 5:32). The Qur'an also teaches that on the Day of Judgment, parents who killed their children will be under trial for that crime, and their children will be witnesses against them (see Qur'an 81:8-9).

Lastly, abortion is never justified, as it takes away the simple right of the child to live. An abortion ends the future of a child; it takes away a child’s place on earth even before the baby is born. It is quite unfair for any child to be robbed of their life just because of the situation of the mother, or because the mother doesn’t feel comfortable having a child or because the mother is financial incapacitated. One may raise the argument of “What about cases of rape and/or incest?” As terrible as it would be to become pregnant as a result of rape and/or incest, is the murder of a baby the answer? Two wrongs do not make a right. The child who is a result of rape/incest could be given in adoption to a loving family unable to have children on their own, or the child could be raised by its mother. Again, the baby is completely innocent and should not be punished for the evil acts of its father.

When abortions take place; it can have a mental effect on the mother for weeks, months, or even years. This is known as a post-abortion syndrome. It affects you by making you depressed, guilty, angered, and loses your self-esteem. As it seems, abortion doesn’t only affect the baby, but also the mother.

Conclusively, over 95 percent of the abortions performed today involve women who basically do not want to have a baby. Less than 5 percent of abortions are for the reasons of rape, incest, or the mother's health at risk. Even in the more difficult 5 percent of instances, abortion should never be the first option. The life of a human being in the womb is worth every effort to allow the child to be born. For those who have had an abortion, remember that the sin of abortion is no less forgivable than any other sin. Through faith in Christ, all sins can be forgiven (John 3:16; Romans 8:1; Colossians 1:14).

A person who purposely and unjustifiably terminates the pregnancy of another otherwise than by a live birth commits felony of the third degree or felony of the second degree in the case where the pregnancy has gone beyond the twenty-four week.  It is our religion to serve our purpose, to reproduce, and to look after the earth. In Christianity, and Islam, abortion is wrong. God gives life, only He has the right to take it, leaving the mother with no right to decide whether to take the child life or not, nor the doctors performing the procedures.

A woman who has had an abortion, a man who has encouraged an abortion, or even a doctor who has performed one—can all be forgiven by faith in Jesus Christ, or Mohammed in the case of a Muslim.

"The Holy Week"

DECEPTION or IGNORANCE?   “HOLY WEEK”    Holy Week as most Christians, and church goers referred to is the week of Jesus’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem riding on a horse back- that was the only account in the Bible where Jesus rode a horse- with the locals giving Him a king’s, and a hero’s welcome laying palm branches, and their clothes as they lined up on the road side as if He had conquered a whole army, or came from a battle. They shout with the loudest voice as he decent from mount Olives “ Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.” ( Luk 19:38). The Passion Week, as others calls it continued with teachings, and miracle performed by Jesus; and His betrayal and denial, His death, and His resurrection after the third day. Did he conquer anything? Did He win a battle? Was He a king? The answer to those questions is YES. He conquered fear and accepted to pay for our sins; not with cash, gold, or diamon

CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND ITS IMPACT ON LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT 9(A Youthful Perspective))

I am developing interest in cultural diversity, and what impact it has on us as emerging leaders, and how we can use the experiences and knowledge gained to develop our leadership skills and abilities. It is often said that striving for excellence is the key to becoming a great leader. I believe that leadership does not have a fix definition, and it changes based on one’s own perspective of leadership. The perspectives of leadership can also change based on one’s own culture taking in to consideration its uniqueness, and understanding multi-culture is important in leadership development. A sustainable advantage of globalization depends on the skills and abilities of a leader who can manage diversity. In pursuit of leadership effectiveness in today’s globalize world, We need to be able to understand, and manage culturally diverse setting effectively. Meeting a wide range of people brings different challenges and advantages in terms of ideas, creativities, innovation, and style
